I am so excited to share Brianne and Jim’s gorgeous spring wedding today! Brianne and Jim were married at the Chattahoochee Nature Center in Roswell. I met Brianne at a bridal show last year and remember hearing her proposal story. The proposal story was one of the sweetest I’ve ever heard. I was so excited when she chose me to capture her and Jim’s wedding day.
Brianne and Jim met during a prep period for her first (his 7th) bodybuilding show. They went to the same posing coach for eight weeks and spoke only a few times to each other. The day after the show, Brianne messaged Jim on Facebook. She slid into his DMs before it was a thing and started chatting. Their first date was a couple weeks later at Muss & Turners and cocktails at The Eleanor in the back of the restaurant.
As I mentioned previously they have one of the sweetest proposal stories ever! Here’s what Brianne has to say about their proposal, “Jim asked me to marry him at a disc dog competition in Indianapolis with my friends and family there. He and I planned a summer trip to Indianapolis to visit my family and while we were there we participated in a Skyhoundz disc dog competition. I invited all my friends and family through a Facebook event and little did I know he contacted all of them to divulge his plan. The last event of the competition was a pairs event in which we participate together. In the middle of our turn Jim told me to look at the disc we were using and it said: “Will you marry me?” I said yes, and the rest is history!”
Their wedding day was beautiful. I loved that they inserted unique and DIY touches that really showcased their personalities. From the doughnuts on their cake table to the gorgeous centerpieces that Brianne made.
When I asked Brianne what her favorite part of the wedding was, she said: “My favorite moment from the wedding was holding Jim’s hands during the ceremony. It was really the only time we had together that day for just us where no one was trying to get our attention.”
My favorite moment also happened at their ceremony, it was so sweet watching Jim tear up when he saw Brianne for the first time.
The wedding day went perfectly thanks to wedding planner Courtney with Fete and Figs. She one of the best wedding planners in Atlanta and I loved working with her!
Brianne and Jim’s reception was so much fun. From the speeches to the nonstop dancing, you could tell they were really loving every minute of their day surrounded by friends and family who love them!
I asked Brianne if she had any advice for couples planning their wedding and I love what she said: “It’s your day, no one else’s. Do what you want even if it doesn’t follow the norm. Also, go with the flow. Once the day comes there is nothing else you can do. Sit back, relax and enjoy the best day of your life… and the biggest and most grand party you’ll ever throw.”
I wish Brianne and Jim many more years of love and happiness!!
